Dr. Kimberly Vazquez was born in New York and raised in south Florida. She attended the University of Central Florida where she pursued a pre-medical curriculum and obtained her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology. She was a founding officer of the university’s first optometry based organization. She went on to receive her optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University. During one of her fourth year clinical rotations, she came to Atlanta and quickly fell in love with the city. She decided to pursue a residency in ocular disease in Georgia, which she completed in 2013. Georgia has now become home to her.
Dr. Vazquez is well experienced with the handling of patients pre and post-operatively, monitoring and co-managing various ocular disease, as well as fitting patients with the proper visual correction that fits their needs. She is beyond excited to join Georgia Eye’s team and looks forward to serving their patients to the best of her ability.
