Dr. Namita Sagar was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Pittsburgh on a National Merit Scholarship and a Westinghouse Science Scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Society. Dr. Sagar received her medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical School. She then completed her medical internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan and completed her residency in ophthalmology at New York Medical College. She was selected to serve as chief resident during her final year of residency. Before moving to Atlanta, Dr. Sagar worked as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in New York.
